XIX - XXth century sculptures
HADJU Etienne (1907-1996)
He moves in Paris in 1927 and learns from Bourdelle and Niclausse. Discovering Léger and Brancusi, he tries figurative sculptures before focusing on abstraction around 1934. His first exhibition will be in 1939 at the Jeanne Bucher gallery after a long bicycle trip in France, Greece and Holland. He uses marble, metal, or cooper. After the war, he became one of the most representative sculptors of the young generation.
